On the advice given, I asked for, and received, an in-house assessment (*not* diagnosis), which in turn unlocked accommodations that were mostly about deadlines of paperwork. None of this was particularly relevant to the viva, except as regarded the matter of its timing.

The viva itself was…well, “fun” may be putting it a tad strong. But “an intense, focused, 150-minute conversation with people I respect and enjoy”? Sure. I wouldn’t want to do it every day, but it was not unpleasant.

If you’ve landed on the right examiners, they’ll kick off the proceedings by saying something like, “You’ve already passed, so you needn’t let anything that follows stress you out. We’re just interested in hearing what you think you learned in the course of your inquiry.” And then you really can just get right into it. Best of luck.

As far as "whether it might be of interest" -- if it's:

1) Open Source
2) Useful
3) Of general interest

It's probably worth sending us a note when there's a major release or some newsworthy development. Worst we can do is say "no" or "not right now".

We tend to focus on the kernel, programming languages (Python, C, Rust), Linux distributions, Linux user software (e.g., KDE, LibreOffice, Audacity, etc.) and other software our audience is likely to use (e.g., PostgreSQL, Podman).

So, ShinyCMS may well be a fit. I covered ClassicPress some time ago.

We didn't even have any agitators this time. Sure, some people go past and don't crack a smile, but many people high fived us, laughed at our silly costumes and banners, and/or joined in dancing to the loud music. There's one Latina ICE agent who watches us sometimes, and she rode past on a bike. (We know she's ICE from her Facebook page.) She's never done anything to us-- they use the few ICE agents who aren't white incel men as spies-- but we love that she gets to see everyone...

100%. The whole "terrorists can use an LLM to build a bomb" is a dumb movie plot threat. If you want to hurt people, lack of knowledge is not your problem. And nobody needs to develop a new chemical to do terrorism. All you need is readily available.

This is just "AI" labs creating imaginary issues to distract us from the real harm they cause.
